Dot IT Domain Names

Introduced in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-specific domain is quite popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building inventive and attractive domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to have an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to return to your website or to share it with colleagues and friends. The extension can also be used for a website, which is connected to the technology sector taking into account that IT is an abbreviation, which is in use around the globe.

Bearing in mind that .IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that controls this top-level extension, such a domain can be reserved through a third-party domain service provider, such as ours. As there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of different regions and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any sort are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion.
